College Counseling
Our College Counseling Office helps each student find a college or university that fits their personality and passions. Every Landow student gets a personal higher education plan starting in the fall of 9th grade, and counselors meet with students regularly to track progress through graduation.
Timeline
9th & 10th Grade
- Class meetings for students and evening programs for parents introduce the college search and application process.
- In the spring, 9th graders and parents attend "The Road Ahead," an introduction to college planning resources.
- Counselors are available to underclassmen as needed for questions about testing, summer programs and course scheduling.
11th Grade
- Students are assigned individual college counselors in the fall, starting with our College Admissions Forum for juniors and parents.
- Regular meetings with counselors, students and parents, plus workshops and evening programs.
- Juniors attend the College Fair to meet admissions representatives.
12th Grade
- Senior workshops cover personal statements and supplemental essays, the Common Application, and financial aid and scholarships.
