Head of School's Welcome
Partners in your child's potential
Welcome
Learning that comes alive
Too much of American education is built on memorizing and teaching to the test. Children learn best when they are thinking, creating and working on real projects, so our classrooms are built around engaged, hands-on learning.
My staff and I take a personal interest in every child's growth. Our school rests on strong Jewish values and a warm, family atmosphere, and our first priority is that every child is safe and thriving.
My background includes serving as Judaic Principal at Scheck Hillel, Principal of Ben Gamla Charter School, Rabbi of Young Israel of Aventura, and practicing as a Marriage and Family Therapist. The lesson I carry from all of it: build one quality relationship at a time.
Jewish Values
At the core of everything we do
A day school should teach more than knowledge and skills. We partner with parents to teach four core values: kindness, truth, peace and respect.
These values show up in every class, from Judaic and general studies to the athletic field, where our coach makes sure every game is played the Landow way.

Positive Behavior Support
Every Landow classroom uses Positive Behavior Support (PBS) to recognize and encourage good choices. Teachers use tools like positive narration, modeling and tiered rewards, and the hallways are full of positive reminders.
We still keep a clear discipline policy, but PBS means we rarely need it.
